Li Jisen 李繼森 (1970, China) 1992 Graduated from Tianjin academy of Fine arts 1994 Furthered his studies in the central Academy of Fine Arts. A Word from Li Jisen... My oils distinguish reality from unreality. This is achieved by representing. Within a reappearance of an historical setting, an analysis of Chinese people disturbed by various phenomenon's, including political movements, where their original faith and ideology has been changed. Under such circumstances, I illustrate wonderfully, how people react with numbness and obedience in a very coincident way. Social and historical pressures exert profound influences on the firmness of self-spirit and faith. Yet the consequences of historical influences can only be developed from a process of recycled analysis and judgement when it is mirrored in today's people. In the painting technique, I use a “symbol” which is extracted from all-of-life experience. The “symbol” fully reveals modern man's psychological affected activities and their self-awareness and self-criticism. |
